From a very early age, Ronizane Keats Christian has always been that “exceptional” individual. One that always stood out in the crowd or stopped the room when he walked in. Aside from his striking looks, with his long luscious head of hair to his big beautiful blue eyes, you could actually see the intelligence that he possessed by the way he carried himself, never arrogant, he had direction and understanding. As a young child, maybe three or four, whose ears actually perked-up at the sound of music, no matter what the style, gospel, blues, jazz, rock, country/western or pop, he loved the sounds. No matter what the instrument, i,e…piano, lead guitar, bass guitar, saxophone, cello, mandolin, ukulele, drums, he listened! He knew then that music was to be his “Staff of Life”.
Ronizane once wrote, “When growing up, I listened to and studied everything in the world with an analytical mindset. I never understood why I had such a fascination with music, until I grew older. Hearing various instruments and learning their names gave me a place to start. I began with piano lessons at five years of age. Every note along with the name and sound was implanted in my brain. This was only the surface of the discovery of my gift, love, and passion for music. To help learn what I was looking for I took classes ranging from band to jazz, during band class I was asked by the director to do my scales, I was only shown the “traditional sight reading” method to learn, it was then I learned that I have the gift of a “pitch-perfect” ear and the ability to play by ear.”
Ronizane grew up in a small town located in Bluefield, Virginia, graduated from Graham High School in 2021 with special recognition as displayed on a beautiful plaque presented by the school as being the “Most Artistic" his fellow students and teachers acknowledged his talents often.
To further develop his education he attended Full Sail University in Winter Park, Florida. Over the past 30 years, Full Sail University has built a reputation as one of the most premier art, music, audio, film, media production, video game design, and animation schools in the world today. In less than two and a half years, Ronizane graduated VALEDICTORIAN November 2023 with a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Music Production. In the Project Portfolios of which he had to create in order to graduate he learned how to be a songwriter, lyricist, and composer. He learned how to mix and arrange tracks according to genre and current industry standards. One of the songs he had written and composed for a video game called “Angry Bots” was selected to be used as the sound track for a demonstration amongst classmates at the “Tree House” on campus. After graduation he was picked to do an internship requiring the use of Pro Tools to design sound & layer audio tracks to give motion pictures/film depth, emotion, and immersion. After choosing sounds that were recorded and processed using techniques taught throughout audio post-production, they’re integrated into the movie according to each scene’s specifications. One of these processes called “Foley” is the art of recreating sounds in real time to the motion picture such as cups hitting a counter-top, or footsteps by a character who’s walking down a gravel road.
Needless-to-say, Ronizane’s desire and hope is to continue his musical love, to use his skills and energy by performing, producing or composing whatever the circumstances require, he can fulfill!!
